Bitcoin Dickbutts

a little story time

the nft space has been so wild to watch and be part of. i primarily joined as a profit-centered trader trying to partake in the market like many others, but it was slowbro’s cryptodickbutt collection that truly made me look beyond that. i was - and still am - enamored by the absurd and the crude, and was intrigued that so many others also saw the same as me when we first set our eyes on a dickbutt for the very first time.

to me they represent the most absurd cultural symbols in human society, with the first dickbutt art popping up on the internet in 2006 and building a cultish appeal almost immediately. but the true story of the dickbutt goes back thousands of years to the ancient roman fascinus - which is also, aptly, the source of the word “fascinate”. look up the fascinus - it bears many similarities to the dickbutts we know today.

the phallus is arguably the most powerful meme humans have - humans have been fascinated with phallus since, well, phallus. the dickbutt has been carried over thousands of years, and has taken many shapes and forms through human art, culminating in the cryptodickbutt which i see as the latest evolution of this ancient meme - and for the first time, stored forever and immutably.

they bear immense significance to me - if we can inscribe value to an image of even a dick and a butt floating on the internet priced in a floating internet currency then truly we have proved the value in ownership, scarcity, and provenance - the fundamental bases of nfts.

today i’d like to introduce something i’ve tinkered on, and initially just sharing it with my friends. it is also my first ever artwork and collection, and while i intend for it to be very small in supply at 69 individual pieces - i hope you enjoy the art regardless if you end up owning one or not.
